Camping by a dry riverbed in remote W.A. It’s time to unroll my swag, collect some wood and get dinner in the camp oven. I gather some rocks to make a ring around the fire. I notice the weathered  rocks are so smooth from tumbling in the water for years. I slap a mozzie biting my leg and look up to the noisy birds gathering at dusk.
